I spent the last week with the man of my dreams and his family in enchanting Beaver Creek, Colorado. While my blood was still pumping from the altitude and full days of snowboarding, I did let my nutrition turn to pizza, beer, and yes, oreos. I was active enough to not pack on an immediate 10 lbs, but my first real WOD back was painful.
CrossFit Cedar Park made every man's dream come true yesterday with a double whammy of Annie and Grace. I PR'd Annie (of course everytime I do Annie I get a new PR due to my constant improvement in double unders), and am happy to have finished Grace in a pseudo-decent time Rx'd.
Instead of feeling discouraged and accepting my revived carb cravings, I did some extra front squats and bought a food scale. I'm taking Nikki Isbell's advice and Zoning breakfast and lunch. If I'm alone, I'll Zone dinner. If I'm making food for multiple people, I'll keep it balanced and sensible.
Today's WOD was brutal on its own, but from some encouraging from my Warrior CrossFit crew, I threw on the 20# vest for good measure.
CrossFit Sectionals begins in 2 weeks! Are you ready?
